History of DORIS
1974 |
The storage ring DORIS is build as an electron-positron collider for high energy physics. From start on the synchrotron radiation is used at two detectors. |
---|---|
1981 |
The synchrotron radiation laboratory HASYLAB come into operation, using the bending magnet beamlines. |
1991 |
One of the long straights is changed into one weakly bend arc, in which seven insertion devices found their place [bypass]. In the second straight the very successful ARGUS detector is operating until 1993 for high energy physics. |
1993 |
DORIS is running as a dedicated source for synchrotron radiation. |
